Eyawa Technologies Limited, a company registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria (with registered office at Victoria Island, Lagos), is the controller of your personal data collected through Eyawa.
2.1 Data You Provide
You may be required to verify your identity when listing high-value items. Eyawa may request ID for verification or account recovery. Any personal information you include in item listings becomes publicly visible.
2.2 Data from Third Parties
If you sign in using Google, Apple, Meta, or Truecaller, we may receive your name, profile picture, email, and user ID. Eyawa may collaborate with third-party identity verification providers such as Smile Identity Inc.
2.3 Data Collected Automatically
Eyawa does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
In case of a data breach that risks your rights, Eyawa will notify the Nigerian Data Protection Commission and affected users. You may also lodge a complaint or pursue redress in court.

Eyawa does not knowingly process data from individuals under 16 years old. If you discover a child has provided personal data, notify support@eyawa.com immediately.
Your personal data may be transferred and processed outside your country. Eyawa ensures safeguards, including standard contractual clauses approved by authorities.
Eyawa may update this policy periodically. Material updates will be communicated by email or in-app notifications. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We retain data for as long as necessary to maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. When you delete your account, minimal data is kept (e.g., hashed identifiers) for fraud prevention.
